Painting Alla Prima With A Palette Knife

In this video lesson, we will paint a complete scene on a larger canvas.
I have chosen a French farm house and we will paint a 15 x 30 scene alla prima!
Of course, you can choose any size you like.
I had previously painted a color study from a photograph and we will paint the
larger scene from the color study. Color studies are important because you can
choose and mix your desired colors and then match your color mixing to that
when you are ready to paint the final version!

Here is my smaller color study that I had previously done.

This is my very loose sketch done on the canvas. As you can see, it is not perfect but
it tells me enough so I know where to paint with my palette knife.

Below are photos of the amount of paint I put on my knife to paint in a controlled manner but still
be loose and impressionistic.
